Sompo Re, the reinsurance arm of global property, casualty and specialty reinsurance provider Sompo Re, has appointed Beatrice Morley as head of London reinsurance.
In her new role, Morley will lead Sompo’s underwriting team in London and work closely with regional leadership to coordinate strategy and local execution.
She has nearly 28 years of industry experience, 15 of which were with Aspen Insurance Group.
At Aspen, Morley held a variety of roles, including serving as global head of casualty and head of international reinsurance, head of international and casualty at Aspen Re, and head of Asia Pacific and casualty treaties.
Prior to that, she spent five years as a casualty insurance underwriter at Catlin. She also held the same role at industry giant Swiss Re for six years.
Morley began her career in 1998 with Aon Insurance & Reinsurance BrokersPhilippines, Inc. as a broker.
