International insurer and reinsurer QBE has appointed Christopher Harris as an independent non-executive director to the QBE Group Board, with effect from 6 July 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
Currently, Harris serves as chairman of QBE Capital. He has held this position since May 9, 2025 and has played a key role in promoting the efficient functioning of the Board.
He also currently serves as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a member of the Board of Directors of private specialty reinsurer Monarch Point Re.
Harris served at Montpelier Re for more than 13 years in executive roles including chief actuary, chief risk officer and chief underwriting officer before being appointed chief executive in 2008.
Finally, he serves on the board of directors of Catalina Holdings and is a board leadership member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
