Florida-based reciprocal exchange home insurance company Praxis Reciprocal Exchange announced the appointment of Ross Bowie as chief executive officer (CEO).
Bowie will also serve as CEO of PRE Risk Management, the de facto attorney for Praxis Reciprocal Exchange.
Praxis was launched in 2025 and has since successfully completed multiple acquisitions and established a disciplined underwriting business in one of the country’s most challenging real estate markets.
He joins Praxis President Jennifer Gravelle and the rest of the leadership team to build on the company’s momentum and begin the next phase of growth initiatives focused on meeting the needs of disaster-impacted customers in Florida through a variety of products, solutions and capital providers.
This includes deliberately growing its MGA platform through new products, new programs and additional venture capital partners as Praxis builds a holistic solution for Florida’s cat exposure market.
Bowie has more than 20 years of industry experience focused on Florida property insurance.
Most recently, he served as CEO of Private Client Select. Prior to that, he served as president and chief underwriting officer of Orchid Insurance.
Earlier in his career, Bowie worked at ASI for nearly ten years, most recently as Vice President of ASI Select.
Bowie commented in a recent LinkedIn post: “Over the past year, the Praxis team has built the Praxis Reciprocal Exchange, successfully completed multiple policy acquisitions, and built a well-managed, growing business. Now we will build on this foundation to expand our presence in the Florida market and expand our product offerings. As we grow, we will continue to focus on creating an experience that works like magic and is truly personalized for our broker partners and clients.”
