Xceedance hires Swapna Allapur as CPO to drive people strategy for AI-enabled insurance

Xceedance, a global provider of technology-driven business solutions to the insurance industry, announced the appointment of Swapna Allapur as Chief People Officer.

In this role, Allapur will lead the company’s global talent strategy with a focus on workforce readiness, enabling transformation at scale, and strengthening organizational capabilities to help insurers adopt new technologies, including artificial intelligence, in a responsible and disciplined manner.

As insurance companies accelerate AI adoption and move beyond experimentation, success depends on deep domain expertise, strong governance and human oversight.

Xceedance is a trusted partner that combines industry knowledge with technology to help customers achieve real-world AI outcomes, the company said.

This puts upskilling, leadership preparation, and change management at the core of scalable, sustainable adoption.

Arun Balakrishnan, CEO of Xceedance, said: “AI in insurance operates on domain expertise and human judgment. Our customers want to embed intelligence into underwriting, claims and policy administration workflows without compromising accuracy, compliance or auditability.”

“This requires people who understand both the technical and business backgrounds. Allapur’s leadership will help ensure our global teams are further equipped to deliver AI-powered outcomes in compliance with the rigors required by the industry.”

Allapur has nearly three decades of HR leadership experience across industries and geographies, including four years as Chief People Officer at Everest Group, where she focused on aligning talent strategies with key business objectives.

At Xceedance, she will focus on strengthening global talent strategy, including planning, capability building and succession. She will also focus on promoting leadership development and engagement to build high-performing teams.

Allapur is also responsible for driving disciplined change management of organizational change and new working models, and aligning people practices with business priorities, including AI-enabled transformation.

“Insurance is a highly specialized industry where expertise and responsibility are critical,” Alapur said. “As AI becomes integrated into daily operations, the role of humans will evolve, not diminish. I look forward to working with Xceedance’s global team to strengthen the capabilities, culture and governance framework required to responsibly deliver AI services at scale.”
