Fortegra Group, Inc., a global specialty insurance company, announced the completion of its acquisition of DB Insurance Co., Ltd., a Korean non-life insurance company.

The deal, originally announced on September 26, 2025, will see DB Insurance acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of Fortegra from Tiptree and Warburg Pincus for approximately $1.65 billion in cash.

Fortegra will operate independently, maintaining its existing leadership team, distribution relationships and underwriting discipline.

Dealers, distribution partners and customers will continue to experience the service unique to Fortegra.

Richard Kahlbaugh, Fortegra Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said: “Every company eventually changes ownership. That is the nature of business. The completion of this acquisition is a starting point. As part of DB Insurance, Fortegra is positioned to expand our geographic footprint, strengthen our capabilities and deepen our market presence in the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom and Asia. Together, DB Insurance and Fortegra intend to create a recognized leader in the global specialty insurance market.”
