This article contains spoilers for the new season of Nobody Wants This.
After the sophomore slump of its second run, critics have been largely in agreement that Nobody Wants This is back on form in its latest season.
The third iteration of the Netflix rom-com premiered on the platform on Thursday, and after getting the thumbs up from the majority of critics, proved just as popular with viewers, with Nobody Wants This immediately climbing the platform’s most-watched right now charts around the world.
However, with just 10 episodes for fans to enjoy, clocking in at around 20 minutes each, the chances are you might be heading into the new week having already binged the lot.
So… what now? After that cliffhanger ending, will we be treated to any more from Noah and Joanne’s romance…?
Will Nobody Wants This get a season 4 on Netflix?
Well, the bad news is, for the time being, Netflix has not made it clear whether or not Nobody Wants This will be getting a fourth outing. But we’d say it’s a safe bet.
Let’s face it, when it comes to Netflix originals, one thing that affects their fates more than anything is popularity, and judging from its position on the aforementioned most-watched chart, it seems users are once again flocking to revisit the romantic comedy.
Then, there’s the ending of season three.
While the season finale concludes with Noah and Joanne quietly marrying on the spur of the moment after her conversion to Judaism is complete, co-showrunner Jenni Konner has made it clear that this represents a new beginning for the couple, rather than an ending.
“They’re married in the eyes of God, but not in the eyes of anyone else yet,” Jenni told Netflix’s Tudum outlet, hinting that a fourth season could deal with the fallout from Noah and Joanne’s nuptials – and the reactions from their respective families.
Until there’s more info, the first three seasons of Nobody Wants This are now streaming on Netflix.
