Data-driven cyber reinsurance and analytics specialist Envelop Risk has appointed Stuart Dale as global head of casualty, where he will be responsible for delivering the firm’s global casualty reinsurance strategy, including product development and portfolio growth.
Effective 24th September 2026, Dale will report to Dominic Peters, CEO of Envelop Underwriting. He brings nearly 30 years of casualty and specialty treaty reinsurance experience, joining from Volante Syndicate 1699, where he served as deputy active underwriter.
During his extensive Lloyd’s and international reinsurance career, Dale has reportedly held numerous other senior roles, including head of casualty treaty at both ArgoGlobal and Westfield Specialty.
Meanwhile, Chris Baddeley will become global head of cyber while continuing as active underwriter for Syndicate 1925.
Both Baddeley and Dale will work closely with Michael Murdoch-Smith, EVP head of cyber Bermuda, alongside the Envelop Underwriting and Labs teams, to deliver Envelop’s casualty proposition.
