Celebrity Traitors winner Sebastian Croft has opened up about another dramatic moment from the set that didn’t make it into the final show.

Early on in the series, the Heartstopper actor and his castmates took part in a grueling challenge where they were all buried alive in coffins alongside one of their co-stars.

One by one, they would be dug up by other members of the cast, which would save them from murder and add more money to the overall prize pot.

Sebastian was among the first to be exhumed, meaning he had quite a few graves to dig up while racing against the clock – and in the latest episode of his podcast Sunday Scaries, he admitted that this eventually took its toll.

“I was, like, exhausted [but] it was like, ‘Right, get into this’,” he recalled. “Ross [Kemp] was locked in, being a superstar and really carrying the mission.”

By the end of the task, Sebastian was beginning to feel “really light-headed” and eventually fainted.

“Then I was sat there, and there was the medic, giving me water, and I was eating chocolate to get my blood sugar up,” he said.

“And I look up, and there’s like Jerry [Hall] and Richard [E Grant] looking at me like, ‘you’re pathetic, this is so embarrassing’.”

Since the show ended, several Celebrity Traitors cast members have been sharing incidents that they were surprised didn’t make it into the final edit.

James Acaster has claimed that, at one point, he was ambushed by Jerry Hall long before the rest of the cast raised their suspicions about him, while James Blunt has suggested that there was a lot more to the comedian’s eventual banishment than viewers got to see.
