SiriusPoint Ltd., a global specialty underwriter, has appointed John Sauerland to its Board of Directors, effective 1 January, 2027.
Sauerland has over 35 years of insurance industry experience, following a long career at Progressive Insurance, where he most recently served as Chief Financial Officer.
He has also served on the boards of Beazley, FedEx Freight, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, bringing extensive governance experience.
Bronek Masojada, Chair of the Board of Directors, SiriusPoint, commented on the addition, “John’s combination of deep insurance knowledge, financial expertise, and broad governance experience makes him a strong addition to the Board.
“He brings a valuable perspective, shaped by a long career in the industry as well as his work with organisations across different sectors, which will add to the breadth of thinking around our Board table.”
