Aon plc, a global professional services firm providing risk, retirement and health solutions to clients around the world, has announced the appointment of Simon Hawkins as Executive Managing Director of Reinsurance within its Global Legacy team, who will join the company later this year.
Hawkins will advise clients on complex legacy and run-off transactions, supporting the delivery of capital advisory solutions in global markets. As part of Aon’s global heritage team, he will work closely with the firm’s regional capital advisory centers to support international heritage activities.
Based in London, Hawkins will report to Mike Cane, head of UK capital advisory at Aon. Aon said the appointment reflects the company’s continued investment in its legacy products as demand for legacy solutions continues to grow in the global insurance market.
Hawkins joins Aon from Compre, where he served as chief operating officer, and previously served as head of legacy at QBE. Aon said his experience in legacy and runoff transactions will help support clients globally as interest in legacy solutions continues to grow.
