International specialist insurance company Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has announced the appointment of Georgina Rennie as Head of Political Violence and Terrorism (PVT).
In his new role, Rennie will be responsible for leading the strategic development and underwriting performance of the company’s PVT portfolio in London and Singapore. She will report to TMK’s head of special risks, James Wilson.
She has over a decade of professional PVT underwriting experience and has a proven track record of managing large, complex global portfolios and delivering profitable growth.
Rennie joins TMK from Talbot, an AIG company, for nearly nine years, most recently as deputy director of the company’s Terrorism and Political Violence Group. In this role, she led portfolio strategy, pricing and risk management and played a key role in enhancing pricing models and risk management capabilities.
Prior to that, she spent nearly five years at Chaucer Syndicates, where she helped build and expand the Latin America terrorism portfolio and supported the development of new underwriting tools and solutions.
Wilson said: “We are delighted to welcome Georgina to TMK at an important time in the growth of our Special Risks business. Against a backdrop of increasing geopolitical uncertainty and increasing demand for solutions to complex political violence, bringing on a market leader is critical to support the next phase of our PVT growth and enhance the PVT service we offer brokers and clients, particularly as they look to work with an insurance company that has a long history of providing consistency and support during periods of heightened volatility.”
Rennie added: “I’m delighted to be joining TMK and working with the team to build on the existing foundation. The PVT market is evolving rapidly and I look forward to delivering solutions that address the increasingly complex risk landscape.”
