AXA XL, the property, casualty and professional risks division of AXA Group, has announced the appointment of Samantha Wotton as head of UK policyholder development, based in London.
In her new role, Wotton will be responsible for creating, implementing and overseeing AXA XL’s commercial strategy and engagement framework for UK underwriter relationships, and identifying opportunities to improve portfolio profitability.

“According to analysis by Oxbow Partners, this proportion is expected to exceed 45% of market premiums by 2027. The policyholder market plays a vital role in the UK insurance ecosystem and is an important part of our UK & Lloyd’s business.

Wotton has over twenty years of industry experience and prior to joining AXA XL, she served as deputy commercial officer at DUAL Group, where she was responsible for commercial strategy for the company’s licensed product portfolio.
She started her career with IFA (Independent Direct Financial Management) and then moved into the insurance industry at Tokio Marine Kiln, where she worked for almost 9 years. She subsequently joined ArgoGlobal and moved to DUAL Group in 2020.
