Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, the underwriting management arm of Ryan Specialty, announced the promotion of three senior leaders for its Ryan Financial Lines business.
Ryan Financial Lines (RFL) provides an integrated platform that offers a broad range of financial insurance products to clients and capital partners. These leadership updates follow executive appointments announced by the company earlier this year.
Deborah Egel-Fergus has been named president of E&O Law Firm. She most recently served as Vice President of LawyerGuard, now part of RFL. Egel-Fergus brings more than 25 years of professional liability insurance experience and succeeds Kevin Sullivan, with whom she has worked closely during this time when he retires at the end of 2025 after many years of service.
Brooke Tanner has been promoted to chief claims officer for RFL (North America), Global Cyber ​​and Celerity Risk. Tanner joined the firm in 2022, when it operated as EmergIn Risk. Prior to joining Ryan Specialty, she practiced insurance law in New York City, focusing on general liability, insurance coverage issues, and data privacy and breach response. She has been a member of the New York State Bar since 2009.
Amelia Gould has been named chief operating officer, International. She previously oversaw operations for Themis Underwriting, which became part of Ryan Specialty through the Innovisk transaction. Gould spent six years with Themis before joining RFL in October 2025 and began her career as an underwriting associate and operations analyst with a global specialty carrier.
