Global professional services firm Marsh has launched Unity D&O, a new European directors and officers (D&O) insurance facility for private and public organisations with revenues up to €1 billion.
The facility will be initially available in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, and has been designed to help organisations address uncertainty created by fragmented market capacity and differing local policy wordings across multiple jurisdictions.
Supported by a panel of six competing A-rated insurers, Unity D&O provides clients with up to €15 million in primary capacity, along with access to supplementary capacity via access insurance market – excluding financial institutions and US listed companies.
To streamline placement for organisations, the solution features a harmonised pan-European policy wording with local underwriting and claims support, underpinned by Marsh’s proprietary D&O.
Rollout across additional European jurisdictions is scheduled to continue through 2027.
Developed in response to rising regulatory scrutiny, enforcement activity, and increasingly complex corporate transactions across Europe, Unity D&O leverages Marsh’s experience handling thousands of D&O claims in the region.
Its proprietary wording offers broader European insurer protections and optional coverage extensions for employment practices liability, crime, and private equity.
