Artificial Labs, a provider of digital brokerage and underwriting technology to the specialty and commercial insurance markets, has appointed Christopher Lohmann as head of Europe to lead the company’s strategic growth and expansion across the continent.
Based in Germany, Lohmann joins Artificial’s executive leadership team and is responsible for driving the company’s European strategy.
His main goal is to build a stronger market presence and build relationships with brokers and operators in key regions.
“Expanding into continental Europe is a natural next step for Artificial,” said David King, co-founder and co-CEO of Artificial. “Christopher brings deep expertise and a strong network in the European insurance market. His experience enables us to introduce our platform into new markets and support brokers and carriers as they navigate increasing complexity and cost pressures.”
Lohmann has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, including senior leadership and board roles in European markets.
His extensive career includes 18 years with Allianz, with particular responsibility for leading Allianz Corporate & Specialty’s (AGCS) operations in Central and Eastern Europe.
Lohmann commented: “The European insurance market remains highly manual, with brokers and carriers facing increasing cost pressures and operational complexity. Artificial technology directly addresses these challenges by increasing efficiency and enabling better decisions in placement and underwriting. The opportunity to help establish this as a standard approach across the European market is exciting.”
Artificial’s expansion into Europe builds on its established position in the London market and follows recent expansion in the United States with the appointment of Eric Joost to lead its North American strategy.
