AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, a Bermuda-based global insurance and reinsurance company, has announced the appointment of Austin Su as Head of North America Alternative Risks.
In her new role, Su will lead the development and execution of AXIS’ alternative risk and structural casualty strategies in North America.
Reporting to Anna Tan, head of wholesale casualty insurance, North America, he will focus on building and scaling the company’s alternative risk transfer platform, delivering innovative solutions to complex customer needs and growing AXIS’ capabilities in this growing market segment.
Su brings more than 25 years of international leadership and underwriting experience in property and casualty insurance across multiple product lines, roles and geographies, as well as extensive expertise in information technology.
Prior to joining AXIS, he served as Head of Americas Structured Risk Solutions at AXA XL.
Prior to that, he spent two decades at AIG, where he held senior leadership roles in the U.S. and Asia Pacific, including leading fronted and captive management businesses and underwriting complex structured transactions.
