Innovation Growth Partners Specialty (IGP Specialty), a US-registered specialty insurance company and subsidiary of USI Insurance Services, has appointed David Nikolai as President of Projects, effective immediately.
IGP Specialty was formed in November 2025 from the merger of specialty lines underwriting manager and wholesale broker US Risk and plan administrator Safehold Special Risk.
Nicola brings more than thirty years of insurance brokerage and underwriting experience to the company.
Most recently, he served as executive vice president of wholesale sports and entertainment operations for RT Specialty, an international specialty insurance broker.
Prior to that, he held increasingly senior positions, including serving as senior vice president of Alive Risk, president of EverSports & Entertainment Insurance Inc. for six years, and chairman of the board of directors of Christ the King Jesuit College Preparatory School.
Nikolai began his career with Chubb in 1989 as a senior underwriter and division manager and stayed with the company for six years. He later went on to serve as Managing Director of Marsh, a position he held for more than 22 years, leading Marsh’s operations in the north-central United States.
