Global reinsurer Hannover Re has announced the appointment of Sven Wilhelmsen as Managing Director.
In his new role, Wilhelmsen will lead the global L&H digital solutions portfolio, develop the strategic roadmap and ensure efficient, value-focused delivery and adoption across Hannover Re’s markets, customers and internal user communities.
He has over 15 years of experience in Europe, Asia and the US, specializing in digital product management, portfolio leadership and global transformation initiatives.
Wilhelmsen joins Hannover Re from Continental, where he served as Global Head of Digital Products, leading and developing strategy for the global digital portfolio and driving the development of integrated digital solutions and platforms.
Prior to that, he founded and managed an autonomous lawn mower accessories startup and held roles at Beyerdynamic and Sennheiser.
