Reinsurer and Berkshire Hathaway unit Gen Re has promoted Amanda Granville to chief underwriter of national and multinational treaties and Marc Nerenberg to chief underwriter of regional and specialty lines.
Granville began her career as an actuary in 2010, deepening her expertise within Munich Re’s specialty markets and global client casualty treaty teams. She joined Gen Re in 2018 and has since developed deep expertise across clients nationwide.

Most recently, he served as lead underwriter in the domestic and multinational divisions, where he built and coached an outstanding team and left a strong legacy.
Erin Kang, chief underwriting officer for Gen Re North America, commented on the appointments: “Very proud to announce two well-deserved appointments for Gen Re!
“Granville’s strong actuarial foundation coupled with her underwriting experience make her a perfect fit for this role.
“Nerenberg now brings his exceptional institutional knowledge and technical depth to the regional and specialty teams.”
