Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets announced the appointment of Robert McAdams as Group Chief Underwriting Officer, effective October 1, 2026.
McAdams will succeed Dominick Hoare, currently group chief underwriting officer, and will be responsible for leading the global markets underwriting office.
To ensure a smooth transition, Hall will continue to serve as an active underwriter of the Munich Re syndicate and will remain in this position until a qualified successor is appointed and regulatory approval is obtained.
Since 2023, Rob has successfully led the Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets Marine, Engineering and Special Risks underwriting team.
He joins the company after two years with Munich Re Syndicate Limited, where he served as Head of Marine. Prior to this, he served as chief underwriting officer global marine at AXA XL and held senior underwriting positions at XL Catlin (prior to its acquisition by AXA) for six years.
