Gallagher’s new PEMA team in Milan extends the in-country expertise of the EMEA business into Italy, building on the established team serving the private equity and M&A communities in the UK, Benelux, France, Iberia, Nordics and UAE, as well as the PEMA capabilities of Gallagher partners Renomia and Steimeyer in the Central and Eastern Europe and Austria regions.

The new hires expand Gallagher’s on-the-ground presence and client-focused expertise in Italy, while also enhancing regional leadership and relationship management capabilities.

The expansion into Italy also builds on Gallagher’s existing presence in the country, where Gallagher Re already has a base.

Alistair Lester, Gallagher’s chief executive for private equity and M&A in the UK and EMEA commented: “In addition to the vibrant corporate M&A community, private equity funds continue to play a central role in the wider Italian M&A landscape, with last year seeing a shift away from large-scale transactions towards mid-market transactions and domestic consolidation. Having a team of experienced transaction risk experts close to Italian private equity funds and portfolio companies who can provide clients with optimal advice and support during and after the transaction is an important milestone for Italian private equity funds. We are delighted to welcome Giulio, Carlo, Federica, Alberto and Vincenzo Join Gallagher.”

Alex Nagler, CEO of Gallagher Europe, added: “Being able to welcome such a breadth and depth of expertise to the Italian market is testament to Gallagher’s continued efforts to attract talent as we expand our presence across the continent. Experienced and ambitious practitioners who are passionate about serving as trusted advisors to help clients build something new and unique will find a great home at Gallagher.”
