Global insurance brokerage, risk management and advisory firm Gallagher has appointed Alex Vullo and Mark Hubbard as Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Marine, Fine Art & Specie and Property & Special Risks respectively.
Both appointments fall within the broker’s Professional division and will report to Gallagher Professional CEO Sarah Lyons.
Vullo succeeds Jonathan Suckling, who will serve as Chairman from January 2027.
In his new role, Vullo will lead 150 colleagues in the broker’s fine art and coin business unit, which provides specialized insurance and risk management solutions for high-value assets.
The team operates globally and is rooted in the London market, with clients including museums, galleries, private collectors and bullion dealers. Vullo joined Gallagher in 2005 as a marine broker and has led its P&I specialist business for the past three years.
Hubbard has served as CEO of Property & Special Risks on an interim basis since early 2026 before assuming his new role permanently. He joined Gallagher in 2000 with extensive industry experience and is responsible for the firm’s Specialty Property and Specialty Risks practices in London and Bermuda.
Gallagher Properties provides insurance and risk management solutions for global complex risks to Lloyd’s, London companies and the wider international insurance market. Gallagher’s special risk products provide hard-to-implement solutions to customers in the accident and health, incident, livestock and aquaculture sectors.
Lyons commented on the appointments: “Making these two leadership appointments within our existing team speaks volumes about the talent we have at Gallagher. Mark has done an outstanding job leading our real estate and special risks teams since the start of the year, and he has a deep understanding of our business, the risks faced by our clients and the global real estate market.
“Similarly, Alex has built much of his career at Gallagher and, with the support of a strong team, has brought a clear vision for the next phase of Ocean, Fine Art and Coin’s growth, and he will continue to build on the excellent platform Jonathan has created.
“I would like to thank Jonathan for his exceptional leadership over the nearly 25 years since the inception of our maritime team. Over the past two decades, he has grown this business into one of the most respected in the industry, and his vision, leadership and relentless focus on customers have been instrumental in shaping our business today. I look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role as Chairman.”
