elseco Group, a specialty underwriting group headquartered in Dubai, has announced the launch of elseco Asia in Singapore, to be led by Lisa Leow as Head of Accident & Health, Asia.
Operating under the Lloyd’s Asia Scheme, the new office will initially focus on accident and health (A&H), offering facultative A&H reinsurance for insurers across Asia, through intermediaries.
While A&H is already an established line within elseco’s global specialty underwriting portfolio, the Singapore base is designed to provide regional brokers and insurers with localised access to that capacity.
The office’s underwriting team spans personal accident, emergency medical and repatriation, travel, income protection and occupational risks.
Laurent Lemaire, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, elseco Group, stated: “Asia is the next step for elseco. Lisa brings specialist accident and health reinsurance closer to the insurers and brokers who need it. Singapore is where it starts.”
An experience professional, Leow joined elseco from Delta Underwriting, where she most recently served as Asia Head of Accident & Health.
Her career also includes positions at HDI Global, Star Insurance Companies, QBE Asia, Zurich Insurance, and AIG.
