Kevin Jonas was left cringing after accidentally sending a NSFW image of himself to a group chat that included a couple of his friends — and, much to his horror, his brothers Nick and Joe Jonas as well.
During Tuesday’s episode of the Hey Jonas! podcast, Kevin confessed to unintentionally sending a photo of his penis to their New York Giants fandom text thread.
The eldest of the brother trio revealed he had mistakenly photographed his crotch in a mirror reflection while capturing a football announcement on his bathroom TV.
“I did something that ruined my entire day,” Kevin recalled to Joe and Nick during the episode. “I don’t even know how to start this. This is my trauma.”
Joe quickly jumped in to explain the embarrassing ordeal, claiming things took a turn after the news broke that NFL player J.J. McCarthy was going to start as quarterback.
“Kevin sends through a picture to the group chat,” Nick recounted. “It’s a TV, and it’s got the announcement on it, and nobody thinks much of it.”
Joe then shared that Kevin panic-texted them asking to delete the group thread after realising that his penis could be seen in the photo he sent.
According to the Jonas brothers, the group chat ― which also includes the original live drummer of their band, Alexander Noyes, and their former photographer, Rob Hoffman, among others ― “has been going for 15 years.”
Joe, who was hanging out with Nick at the time the messages came through, said they were initially confused by what their brother was saying.
“I’m on the couch playing video games, and I look at Nick and I’m like, ‘Did [Kevin] post something he wasn’t supposed to?’” Joe recalled.
Kevin then wrote several messages, which read: “Guys delete the photo I’m sorry… cuck my life… fuck… delete the thread… fuck.”
Joe teased that the alarmed texts were “the greatest series of messages”, while Nick agreed they were “legendary.”
“The photo has mirrors, and I didn’t clock it,” Kevin then explained to podcast listeners. “And it was in our bathroom, and I took the photo as I’m getting into the shower.”
Joe added: “You have a massive TV in your bathroom, but there’s mirrors surrounding the TV and you can only see — it’s like the greatest thing that you didn’t know happened.
“There’s a big TV and right below is a mirror and it’s only your dick.”
“Nobody wants to have a dick pic sent to them that they didn’t want,” Joe joked.
Kevin said that when he realised his error, he “threw [his] phone into the kitchen.” When his wife, Danielle, found out what happened, she simply said: “Oh no.”
