UK-based life insurance and pensions provider Canada Life has confirmed the appointment of Stuart Carroll as chief actuary, effective January 1, 2026, reporting to chief financial officer Stuart Robinson.

Carol is a senior actuary and financial services professional with extensive international experience. He joined Canada Life UK in May 2024 as Director of ALM and Investments. Robinson commented: “Stuart’s appointment as Chief Actuary is recognition of the strong leadership, strategic insight and significant contribution he brings to Canada Life UK. I congratulate Stuart on his well-deserved role and look forward to working with him to drive our continued growth and financial stability as the UK’s leading financial services provider.”

“I would also like to thank Mark for his outstanding leadership and commitment to our business over the past five years, and I am grateful that we will continue to benefit from Mark’s trusted guidance as he devotes more time to mentoring in local churches and communities.”

Carroll added: “I am honored to take on the role of Chief Actuary. It is an exciting time at Canada Life UK. I am delighted to be working alongside fantastic colleagues and building on the success that has been achieved and I look forward to building on this momentum going forward.
