AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, the Bermuda-based global insurance and reinsurance company, has promoted Christina Geller to head of wholesale finance for North America (NA).
In his new role, Geller reports to John Van Decker, global head of financial operations. In addition, she will develop and implement the long-term profitable growth strategy for AXIS’s North American wholesale commercial and financial institutions business portfolio.
Geller held senior underwriting and leadership positions at AXIS from 2005 to 2012, a total of 18 years, before returning to the company in 2013.
Most recently, she served as Head of Wholesale Financial Institutions at AXIS. She also previously held management liability underwriting roles at AIG and CNA Insurance.
Van Decker commented on the appointment: “Christina’s promotion and expanded scope of responsibilities reflect the exceptional underwriting expertise, market insight and leadership she brings to AXIS.
