British insurance company Admiral Group has completed its £80 million acquisition of digital commercial fleet insurance provider Flock, expanding its automotive offering.
The deal, first announced on February 12, 2026, integrates Flock’s advanced technology into Admiral’s telemetry fleet insurance solutions.
Flock’s team will also become an integral part of Admiral’s fleet insurance products, and Ed Leon Klinger will also join Admiral Pioneer’s leadership team.
Emma Huntington, chief executive of Admiral Pioneer, said: “Admiral and Flock are both known for using data and technology to deliver better prices and services, and their shared commitment to creating safer roads for all has resulted in a very successful partnership.
“Now that Flock has officially joined Admiral, we can work even more closely together to meet the needs of new and existing fleet customers at scale.”
This strategic move is in line with the Group’s commitment to future-proof its motor proposition and expand its product range by leveraging its core strengths in data and technology, distribution, pricing and claims, customer service and risk management.
The company noted that it has carried out its first major business expansion since Admiral announced its intention to acquire Flock and launched a new transport fleet insurance product, which has seen strong early demand.
Ed Leon Klinger, CEO of Flock, commented: “Our mission has always been to make the world a safer place. Being part of Admiral means we can capture a greater share of the UK automotive market. We have been very much looking forward to combining Flock’s AI platform with Admiral’s scale and expertise. I can’t think of a better home for the product we are building.”
