Arch Insurance North America, part of Arch Capital Group Ltd., has expanded its transactional risk insurance product capabilities with the launch of a new transactional liability team in the United States.

The business will initially focus on providing representations and warranties and tax coverage products.

William Carson will lead the team as senior vice president, trading risk. In this role, he will report to Chris Christon, Senior Vice President, Executive Assurance.

Carson joins Arch from Everest for nearly eight years, most recently as head of North America trading risk.

Anne Hardner, executive vice president of executive assurance at Arch Insurance, said: “Arch has been actively participating in the transactional risk market for 15 years through MGA and MGU partners and through various channels in North America, Bermuda and the United Kingdom.

“Our direct U.S. platform complements our existing distribution model and reflects Arch’s broader commitment to the transactional risk market. This multi-channel approach allows us to expand our capabilities, strengthen our market presence and better serve brokers and clients.”

Christon commented: “We value the partnerships we build within the transaction risk ecosystem and remain committed to supporting our MGA and MGU partners over the long term.

“Will and his team bring exceptional market expertise, deep broker and legal relationships and a proven track record in transactional risk underwriting. Their experience will help accelerate our growth while maintaining the disciplined approach followed by Arch.”

Carson added: “Transaction risk insurance has become a critical component of today’s M&A landscape, and Arch is uniquely positioned to deliver the financial strength, underwriting discipline and long-term commitment that brokers and clients increasingly value.

“Clients, brokers and their legal advisors want more than competitive pricing. They want underwriting partners who can move quickly, understand deal complexities and stay true to their word when claims arise. Our goal is to deliver a high-quality experience throughout the deal lifecycle while maintaining a disciplined approach to risk selection and portfolio management.”
