Lockton, a privately held independent insurance brokerage, has announced the appointment of Fiona Terry as managing director and national business leader of its Canadian global solutions team.
The appointment is part of the firm’s strategy to expand its specialized risk management capabilities for Canadian businesses doing business internationally.
Terry will play a key role in strengthening the firm’s global solutions offerings, supporting clients operating across multiple jurisdictions and helping them manage increasingly complex international risks.
The appointment follows Stéphane Lespérance’s recent appointment as CEO of the Canadian business and reflects the company’s continued investment in building a client-focused consulting team for the Canadian market.
“Having Fiona join our team is an important milestone as we build our professional consulting capabilities in Canada,” commented Stéphane Lespérance, CEO of Lockton’s Canadian retail business.
“Fiona has deep and proven expertise in large global and international accounts. She brings in-depth, highly relevant knowledge to our clients, both from a client recognition perspective and from an insurance company perspective, backed by a solid market reputation.”
Terry has spent his career consulting on complex international insurance placements. The firm noted that her technical expertise and understanding of cross-border regulatory requirements enable her to support clients in managing risks in global markets.
Michael Lombardi, President of Lockton Global Solutions, added: “We are building a world-class Global Solutions team. The addition of Fiona Canada will help Canadian multinationals address highly complex, multi-jurisdictional risks that require more than off-the-shelf solutions.”
“Fiona’s attention to detail and outstanding technical skills consistently help her solve the most complex client problems. Her hands-on consulting approach is a perfect fit with Lockton’s independent, client-first philosophy.”
