Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, the reinsurance arm of global brokerage Aon, has announced the appointment of Jose Maria Lopez as marine product coordinator for EMEA interim reinsurance.
This position is in addition to Lopez’s current responsibilities leading the Marine Corps team in Latin America.
In his new role, he will drive the coordination of Aon’s overall marine proposition across the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with business priorities and client needs across the transferred interim, wholesale and commercial risk solutions.
Lopez joined Aon in October 2014 and has since held a number of senior maritime leadership roles, including deputy manager, maritime, and most recently as regional business leader for maritime for Aon Reinsurance Solutions since 2018.
Prior to joining Aon, he worked at Grupo Morera & Vallejo – Iberoamerican Underwriting, where he held positions including director and reinsurance agent, focusing on business development in South America and specializing in temporary cargo reinsurance.
