RB Jones Global has announced the launch of RB Jones DIFC in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), a new specialist MGA that expands its international underwriting offering and supports clients with tailored risk solutions.
The MGA will offer underwriting solutions across property and construction, as well as renewables and power generation, for clients across the Middle East and South Asia.
The business will focus on large and complex risks, combining a local market presence with specialist underwriting expertise to support brokers and clients across the region.
Initial capacity is provided by a consortium led by Munich Re, with participation from Atain, a fellow H.W. Kaufman Group company.
Zafar Vokhidov will lead RB Jones DIFC as CEO & SEO, bringing more than 27 years of international insurance experience. He joined RB Jones Global in 2025, having previously served as Head of Specialty Lines for AIG Canada.
Vokhidov commented, “RB Jones’ establishment in the DIFC reflects a broader shift in how reinsurance is being accessed in the region. Where programmes were once routinely placed through London or Europe, brokers are increasingly looking to place meaningful portions of their clients’ risks locally – provided they have access to reliable, high-quality underwriting authority.
