Zurich Singapore, the Singapore arm of Zurich Insurance Group, has announced two senior appointments in its Asia Pacific commercial insurance division as the company continues to expand its regional presence and capabilities.
Giles Crowley has been appointed head of customer and distribution management (CDM) for Asia Pacific, while Kin Lee has been promoted to head of energy for Asia Pacific, the insurer confirmed. Both positions will be based in Singapore.
Zurich Singapore said the appointments are designed to support the company’s long-term growth plans in the Asia-Pacific market.
In his new role, Crowley will be responsible for the client and distribution management functions across Zurich Singapore. The company said his responsibilities will include supporting growth in distribution channels and customer base, maintaining consistent go-to-market strategies, strengthening relationships with brokers and improving customer engagement programs.
Lee will be responsible for leading underwriting strategy for the company’s regional energy portfolio. His responsibilities will include working with local market teams to further develop underwriting expertise, strengthen distribution partnerships, improve portfolio management practices and expand product capabilities to meet market needs.

Crowley has been with the company for three decades, holding a range of technical, distribution and leadership roles in various international markets. Most recently, he was head of commercial markets for general insurance in Australia and New Zealand, where he helped strengthen broker engagement, support profitable business growth and enhance distribution and transaction management capabilities.
Lee joined Zurich in 2023 and currently serves as Head of Onshore Energy in Singapore. Prior to joining Zurich, he held senior underwriting roles in the energy, real estate and construction sectors in Asia and Australia/New Zealand. He started his career as a civil engineer.
