Major insurance company Zurich Insurance Group has appointed Patrick McBride to the newly created position of head of international construction, effective immediately.
This position is part of Zurich’s global professional construction and assurance team. He will relocate to London and report to Kelly Kinzer, global head of construction and surety.
Since 2021, McBride has led the insurer’s U.S. construction real estate team serving its construction industry clients.
He also drives innovations such as Data Center Project Guard, a product that closes coverage gaps, simplifies complexity and enhances risk management in data center construction.
Prior to Zurich, he served as head of middle market brokerage operations for Willis Towers Watson’s Mid-Atlantic region in 2018, where he led and oversaw all product lines and industries in the middle market space.
Additionally, McBride worked in Zurich from 2010 to 2016 in various underwriting roles of increasing responsibility within the Construction Properties team, having originally begun his career in Zurich’s U.S. Underwriting Training Program (UTP).
