Westfield Specialty Intl. names Radbourne as Class Underwriter for Power and Onshore Renewables

Reinsurance provider Westfield Specialty International has appointed Matthew Radbourne as collective underwriter for its power and onshore renewables sectors, based in London. Radbourne will report to Jon Hamilton, director of marine and energy.

Hamilton commented: “We are delighted to welcome Matt to Westfield Specialty. His extensive experience and knowledge of the power and renewable energy sectors will make him a valuable addition to the team as we continue to build our energy offering by attracting market-leading expertise as we focus on expanding our conventional power and renewable energy portfolio.

“Matt will play a vital role in identifying growth opportunities in the rapidly evolving renewable energy market and developing underwriting strategy and execution.

“We believe his industry knowledge and leadership expertise will strengthen our ability to achieve long-term, stable growth driven by investments in people and products.”

Radbourne has over 20 years’ experience in the power and utilities sector. Most recently, he served as chief underwriter for MS Amlin, having previously served as a senior underwriter in the power generation sector for more than a decade. His career also includes senior roles at Guy Carpenter, Aon, Jardine Lloyd Thompson and Marsh.
