BMS Re, the reinsurance arm of independent reinsurance broker BMS Group, has appointed Tony Grippa as chief strategy officer for its US operations.
Grippa has extensive industry experience, having served as Senior Advisor to Dowling Hales, Executive Chairman and CEO of RYZE Claim Solutions, Executive Chairman of Risk Transfer Agency and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Atlas General.
Earlier in his career, Grippa served as COO of Vanbridge, an EPIC company, and spent ten years on the leadership team at Brown & Brown.
In his new role at BMS Re, he will report to BMS Re President and CEO Brad Melvin and will serve on the company’s U.S. Executive Committee.
“Grippa will work closely with Melvin and the executive committee as a strategic advisor to help advance BMS Re US’ multi-year strategic plan and accelerate organic growth in its projects, mutual and specialty lines,” the company explained.
Melvin commented: “Tony is a proven business builder and a well-respected leader in our industry. His ability to translate strategy into execution, develop top talent and drive sustainable growth will be a tremendous asset as BMS Re US executes its long-term vision.”
