Tareq Hussein has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Senior Executive Officer (SEO) of MENA RE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Doha Insurance Group (DIG) established in the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC).
Hussein has been with MENA RE for ten years, joining the company as an engineering and political violence underwriter.
The executive has since held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including Underwriter – Political Violence and Specialty Lines, Head of Specialty Lines and, most recently, Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
Commenting on his appointment, Hussain said: “It is a privilege to take on this role and I thank our Board of Directors for their continued trust and confidence.
“I look forward to working with our talented team to continue to strengthen MENA RE, deepen our partnerships and deliver sustainable value to clients, brokers and stakeholders across the region.”
