Swiss Re, one of Europe’s big four reinsurance companies, has appointed Lori Goltermann to the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, effective 11 January, 2027.
Goltermann will be based in Chicago and report to Ivan Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Corporate Solutions, and join the Corporate Solutions Executive Committee.
In her new role, Goltermann will lead Swiss Re’s enterprise-wide strategy for corporate clients, governments, and distribution partners.
Additionally, she will bring together Swiss Re’s specialised underwriting, risk expertise, technology and global reach to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
She has over three decades of industry experience and has spent most of her career holding senior positions at insurance and reinsurance brokerage group Aon.
Currently, Goltermann serves as the Vice Chair of Aon and was most recently the CEO of North America and Global Regions. In the past, she was the Chief Client Officer and CEO of Global Enterprise Clients, CEO of US Commercial Risk & Health Solutions.
She started her career in 1993 as a US Health & Benefits Practice Leader, holding the same position for nearly 23 years. She was a US Retail Executive Committee, and US and Global Health & Benefits Executive Committee member.
