Swiss Re CorSo appoints new Head of Commercial Growth Initiatives for Alternative Risk Transfer

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the commercial insurance arm of Swiss Re, has appointed Yann Krattiger as head of commercial growth initiatives for Alternative Risk Transfer (ART).

The company said Krattiger has helped shape its alternative risk transfer offerings over the years, contributing extensive expertise and a collaborative approach to complex risk challenges.

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions said the appointment reflects the growing demand for innovative and customized risk transfer solutions as organizations deal with increasingly interconnected risks. The company said the new position was created to support the expansion of its ART capabilities, identify new business opportunities and develop solutions beyond traditional insurance.

In his new role, Krattiger will focus on driving commercial growth initiatives for the company’s alternative risk transfer business. His responsibilities include coordinating global work processes, supporting collaboration among cross-functional teams, developing targeted growth plans, and building strategic partnerships. The position will also focus on leveraging data and analytics to enhance risk management and resilience while creating tailored risk transfer structures for complex and difficult-to-hedge risks across industries.

Krattiger has been with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions for more than six years. Prior to his latest appointment, he served as head of alternative risk transfers for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and also served as head of IRS structured front office.

Prior to joining Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Krattiger spent nearly 12 years at Allianz in underwriting and leadership roles in the Alternative Risk Transfer segment.
