Seychelles Re Global Limited (SeyRe Global), a Tier 2 reinsurance company registered in Barbados, has promoted Vanida Pillay as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Pillay has more than thirty years of industry experience in underwriting, business development, claims management, reinsurance brokerage and construction and engineering insurance.
She also has strong client and industry relationships, most recently serving as SeyRe Global’s regional director for the Eastern, Central and Portuguese-speaking markets.
Prior to this, she served as CEO of MNK RE South Africa, a subsidiary of MNK Re Limited, for nearly two years. Pillay previously served as a senior engineering underwriter at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) for more than ten years. She started her career at Aon Risk Services SA in 2008 as Strategic Account Manager for Eskom Holdings.
