RedBird Capital Partners portfolio company Bishop Street Underwriters has promoted John Inwood to chief underwriting officer (CUO) in the United Kingdom (UK), subject to regulatory approval.
In his new role, Inwood will oversee Bishop Street’s UK underwriting strategy, including Avid Insurance and Landmark Underwriting operations.
Most recently, he spent five years as chief underwriting officer at Avid Insurance, where he was responsible for implementing underwriting standards, portfolio discipline and cultivating carrier relationships.
With more than 35 years of industry expertise, Inwood will focus on driving Bishop Street’s continued growth in the region, prioritizing rigorous risk management, developing key partnerships and supporting the company’s underwriting talent.
