Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM), the underwriting management arm of Ryan Specialty, announced the promotion of Mike Benvenuto to chief operating officer.
Based in Chicago, Benvenuto has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Most recently, he served as Chief Procurement Officer for Ryan Specialty, driving performance in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supply chain sustainability, corporate real estate and business continuity planning to support the company’s growth, operational and expense goals.
Prior to joining Ryan Specialty, Benvenuto spent nearly 17 years at Aon, most recently as global chief procurement officer.
Earlier in his career, he worked at JPMorgan Chase, Deloitte and Gartner.
