Insurance broker Relation Insurance Services has confirmed the appointments of Matthew Schott, Kevin Smith, Courtney Maugé, Jonathan Franznick and Scott Moseley to its specialty business unit.
The company said the team has deep industry knowledge and leadership experience in specialty insurance, supporting clients in managing complex risks, including management and financial lines, cyber risk, private equity risk and claims advocacy.

Relation Insurance Services noted that the appointments are part of its continued focus on developing specialist products and strengthening its platform that combines technology capabilities with national scale.
Short has been appointed practice leader for the management and finance department. Relation Insurance Services said he has more than 25 years of experience in management and professional liability, advising organizations in the areas of directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary duties, errors and omissions insurance, crime insurance and related executive risk areas.
Smith joins as senior vice president of management and finance. Relation Insurance Services highlighted his experience in management liability, cyber and professional liability, where he has led teams and advised clients on complex execution and professional risk issues.
Maugé has been named senior vice president of cyber risk. Relation Insurance Services describes her as a cyber insurance expert with experience supporting organizations in responding to evolving cyber threats and developing resiliency-focused risk strategies.
Franznick joins as senior vice president, claims advocacy, management and finance. Relation Insurance Services noted his background in claims and defense, supporting clients through complex claims processes and his commitment to achieving positive outcomes in management and professional liability matters.
Mosley has been named senior vice president of private equity risk. Relation Insurance Services said he has experience consulting for private equity firms and portfolio companies on risk management and insurance approaches designed to support growth and value creation.
