Placing Platform Limited (PPL), a London-based company providing digital trading solutions for the insurance sector, has appointed Rebecca Drummond into the newly created role of Chief Product and Technology Officer.
In her new role, Drummond’s remit will be to accelerate the development and delivery of trading tools and data to the London insurance market.
Her new role brings together product, engineering, and delivery under a single leadership team structure, and reflects the growing importance of integrated product and technology leadership to drive innovation and speed to market.
Drummond joined PPL earlier this year as Chief of Staff to John Mason, Chief Executive Officer of PPL, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. She has since worked across the business on strategy, transformation and execution.
Before this, she held senior leadership roles at London Stock Exchange Group, leading product, engineering and data organisations and large-scale technology and business transformation.
Mason commented on the appointment, “Rebecca brings a commanding combination of strategic leadership, deep product and technology experience, and a strong background of delivering complex transformation.
“Her appointment reflects the importance of product and technology to PPL’s next phase of growth and our continued focus on delivering solutions for the London market.”
