PIB appoints Rob Houghton as Chief Operations Officer

Specialist insurance intermediary PIB Group Ltd has announced the appointment of Rob Houghton as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

In his new role, Horton will join the group’s executive leadership team. His responsibilities will span technology and operations, working closely with CEOs and leaders across the group to drive growth while simplifying and scaling operations and processes.

He is a senior leader with over 30 years of experience. Prior to joining PIB, he served as Group Chief Operating Officer of Aspen Insurance Group.

Prior to this, Horton was a non-executive director of NHS Supply Chain. He also served as COO of MS Amlin and CEO of Amlin Business Services.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Aviva for over 13 years, holding a number of senior positions, most recently as UK Life Chief Information Officer and UK Technical Services Director.
