Aon, the global professional services firm, has appointed Naoki Kido as Global Head of Japan Global Solutions (JGS), effective 30 September 2026, while Yuki Tanemura has been named Global Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Head of North America for JGS, effective 1 January 2027, both subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
The two appointments aim to propel JGS’s next phase of growth, aligning with Aon’s long-term commitment to serve Japanese multinational clients through integrated global capabilities and local expertise.
JGS is a global network of professionals who bring together Aon’s integrated Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities for the country.
Kido will be based in Tokyo and report to Craig Torgius, Chief Client Officer and Head of Enterprise Clients, Asia Pacific, while Tanemura will be based in Chicago and report to Kido.
Torgius commented, “We are delighted to welcome Naoki to Aon and excited to see Yuki step into this expanded leadership role. Together, they bring extensive experience supporting multinational clients in Japan and a strong understanding of how to connect capabilities across markets.
“Their complementary strengths will help accelerate the continued evolution of Japan Global Solutions and strengthen our ability to deliver innovative, integrated solutions for clients around the world.”
In his new role, Kido will lead the global strategy, vision, and continued growth, working closely with leaders across Aon’s capabilities to strengthen collaboration, further develop its regional network and advance opportunities for Japanese multinational clients globally.
Kido has over two decades of experience serving Japanese multinational organisations. Most recently, he served as Practice Leader of WTW’s Japan Global Practice Group for North America, responsible for client engagement and growth initiatives for Japanese companies operating across the United States and Canada.
Kido said, “I am honoured to join Aon and excited to work with clients across Japan during a period of significant change and opportunity. Organisations in Japan are navigating an increasingly interconnected business environment, creating new challenges and opportunities across risk and people priorities. I look forward to working with colleagues across Aon’s global network to help clients achieve growth and make better decisions through Aon’s expertise and analytic capability.”
Tanemuran, in his expanded role, will focus on accelerating commercial growth, deepening client engagement, and strengthening collaboration across the Global Solutions network.
He has spent 20 years with Aon and has held leadership positions across Japan, Southeast Asia, and the US, developing deep expertise in serving multinational clients in Japan and helping connect them with the full breadth of Aon’s global capabilities.
Masahito (Max) Hirai, Chief Executive Officer, Japan, Aon, said, “As the needs of businesses in Japan continue to evolve, and as Japanese companies continue to expand their global footprint, strengthening the connection between our teams in Japan and across our global network has never been more important. Kido and Tanemura bring complementary strengths that will help deepen that connectivity and continue to deliver a more seamless experience for clients both in Japan and internationally.
“Their appointments reflect Aon’s long-term commitment to the Japanese market and continued investment in the leadership, capabilities and global collaboration needed to support multinational organisations in Japan navigate complexity and achieve their ambitions wherever they operate.”
