MSIG USA, the U.S. insurance arm of global insurer MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings Inc., has appointed Phillip Rhodes as head of global insurance programs.
In his new role, Rhodes will lead the insurer’s global insurance program strategy and development efforts, enhancing solutions and services for its international business clients.
He has more than two decades of industry experience, including extensive leadership in multinational strategy, global network development, cross-border operations, and broker and client engagements.
Most recently, he served as global head of multinational network strategy and partnerships for American International Group (AIG).
Rhodes has been with AIG for more than 23 years, including serving as senior vice president (SVP) of AIG’s general insurance financial operations, vice president of private/non-profit financial operations and head of the IPO team. He started at the insurance company as assistant vice president of media and intellectual property.
In the past, Rhodes served as vice president of global business development for Submedia, vice president of international market development for DoubleClick, vice president of operations for Knowledge Decision Securities, Inc., and vice president of partnerships and acquisitions for Citigroup’s global consumer bank.
