Alliant Insurance Services, a US-based insurance brokerage and risk management firm, has promoted Martin Newman to Managing Director, Energy Operations, within Alliant Property & Casualty.
Newman is based in Dallas and works with energy operators and private equity investors on risk and insurance solutions covering a range of exposures.
In his new position, Newman will retain his existing production responsibilities while working with the company’s energy leadership team to support growth, client service and its capabilities across the energy sector.
“Martin’s expanded leadership role will further strengthen our ability to connect energy clients with the specialised expertise, market relationships and risk solutions they need to address emerging exposures,” added Michael Cusack, President, Alliant Property & Casualty.
Newman’s appointment arrives as energy companies face a changing risk environment influenced by geopolitical uncertainty, market conditions, supply chain pressures and increasing energy demand linked to data centres and other energy-intensive infrastructure.
“Martin will broaden his impact across the business through increased operational responsibilities, playing a key role in integrating strategic acquisitions, recruiting and retaining top talent, and bringing together the full breadth of Alliant’s expertise, relationships and resources in the energy insurance market,” commented Karey Vaught, Managing Director, Alliant Energy.
“His technical knowledge, industry experience and long-standing market relationships make him a trusted resource for clients navigating increasingly complex insurance and risk management challenges. His leadership will help clients approach emerging risks with greater clarity and resilience.”
Newman holds a degree from The University of Texas at Austin and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation from the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance.
