Marsh Risk, a Marsh Risk business, has launched MLOne, the first leading umbrella casualty compensation organization in the United States, designed to provide stronger protection and clearer claims coordination for clients operating in an increasingly litigious environment.

The new business unit represents Marsh’s expanding excess casualty facilities, including the BX1 facility in Bermuda and the MX1 facility in the United States. These facilities consolidate and coordinate the capabilities of multiple insurance companies into a single subsequent coverage provided by a single claims decision maker.

The new unit is designed to override any major casualty plans, consolidating up to $30 million of capability into a single quota share dominant umbrella block, led by Allianz Commercial.

Allianz Commercial will assume claims processing for the entire quota share. MLOne can be combined with BX1 and MX1 in a single program, further reducing contract inconsistencies and simplifying claims resolution.

Muffadal Lokhandwala, head of U.S. excess casualty practice at Marsh Risk, commented: “MLOne represents an important step forward for clients looking for clear, reliable umbrella protection. Clients will receive greater underwriting certainty and a more efficient placement and claims process, helping to reduce gaps and litigation risk while increasing program stability and balance sheet protection.”

Dan Aronson, head of U.S. Casualty at Marsh Risk, added: “MLOne builds on the foundation of our subsequent product lines. Together with the MX1 and BX1, we provide a consistent, market-tested framework that simplifies excessive casualty placement and improves customer outcomes. Our goal is to continue to evolve this suite of solutions so that customers have predictable, scalable options across their casualty product portfolios.”

Mary Ann Stewart, Head of Responsibility North America, Allianz Commercial “Allianz’s lead insurer role in this facility reflects our belief that the casualty market requires smarter, more customer-centric solutions. As insureds navigate an increasingly complex claims environment, having a responsible claims leader within a quota share structure makes a real difference in outcomes and confidence. We are pleased to partner with Marsh Risk to deliver certainty, efficiency and advocacy. This is what insureds need in today’s casualty market.”
