Dochterman Insurance, an independent commercial insurance brokerage focused on U.S. manufacturing, has launched a fully integrated cyber risk program that combines CyberCube’s cyber risk analysis platform with Resource Computer Solutions’ (RCS) IT assessment and CMMC 2.0 compliance services.
Dochterman said the program provides manufacturers with a single point of contact for cyber risk identification, IT remediation, federal compliance certification and insurance arrangements, functions that previously required managing multiple independent vendors.
The announcement comes as the Department of Defense is enforcing Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 requirements across its supply chain. Phase 1 requirements for contractors take effect on November 10, 2025.
In the second phase, which begins on November 10, 2026, most contracts involving controlled non-confidential information will require third-party certification. Manufacturers that fail to certify will be ineligible to bid for or retain DoD jobs.
By leveraging CyberCube’s Broking Manager, Prep Module and Cyber Connect tools, the program can model the potential financial losses from threats such as ransomware, operational disruption and supply chain attacks to quantify a manufacturer’s cyber risk.
At the same time, RCS controls the assessment of safe gases against NIST 800-171 and manages the necessary remediation and documentation required for CMMC certification, Dochterman explained.
Ultimately, Dochterman designed the cyber insurance policy based on risk data and the customer’s enhanced security posture, offering significant discounts on its premiums, the company noted.
“Manufacturers recognize the importance of achieving compliance but often lack the internal resources and expertise required. Many who try to handle it themselves fail, and the process can wreak havoc on their operations,” said Michael Dochterman, CEO of Dochterman.
“To address this issue, we developed a program that provides a team responsible for identifying risks, fixing vulnerabilities, preparing for CMMC certification, and selecting appropriate insurance, all staffed by experts who understand the realities on the shop floor. Since manufacturing is our sole focus, this dedicated approach makes it effective.”
Nate Brink, director of broker partnerships at CyberCube, added: “By adopting CyberCube’s solutions, Dochterman is turning technical cyber risk into an actionable financial conversation for manufacturers. Together, we will help manufacturers make more informed decisions around resiliency and insurance protection.”
Tim Coates, CEO of Resource Computer Solutions, said: “At Resource Computer Solutions, we are committed to helping manufacturers turn cybersecurity and compliance into a strategic advantage. By combining CMMC 2.0 requirements with practical, real-world implementation, we enable customers to strengthen their security posture while maintaining operational efficiency and competitiveness.”
