Marsh, a global professional services firm specialising in risk, strategy and advisory services, has appointed Alexander Reath as its new US Real Estate and Hospitality Practice Leader within Marsh Risk.
Based in Boston, Reath will report to Darren Cromwell, Industry Practice Group Leader for Marsh Risk in the US and Canada.
Reath will be responsible for leading its US Real Estate practice across the sector’s various asset classes. His responsibilities will include working with teams across Marsh to develop market strategies, bring together specialist resources and support clients with risk solutions tailored to their individual requirements.
Reath joins the role with more than 25 years of experience in property insurance. He has spent more than a decade leading the company’s New England Property practice and most recently served as US Property Real Estate Leader.
During that time, he worked on marketplace strategies and developed tailored approaches for clients dealing with complex risks across the real estate and hospitality sectors.
Cromwell added: “Alex has a proven track record of working closely with clients to understand their businesses and deliver thoughtful, effective solutions to address their evolving risk challenges. His deep industry experience and collaborative leadership position him well to advance our innovation agenda and strengthen the value we bring to clients.”
